Dear Sir,
I took much joy in watching you and the woman behind you in the grocery store yesterday.
When you told the cashier you were going to pay for the groceries of the customer next in line, everyone was a little confused at first. You calmly stated that you were taking care of her bill.
As you left, her face was in complete shock. She repeated over and over "I can't believe he just paid for my groceries". You made her day and it was evident that she will not forget your kindness.
She didn't get a chance to say anything to you as you left so quickly, but I heard how overwhelmed she was at receiving something unexpected.
Thank you for modeling generosity, it impacted her and me.
